Cadets on parade at Lord Mayor’s Show

On Saturday, our Combined Cadet Force proudly led the procession for the Lord Mayor’s Show (actually a Lady Mayoress this year), marching through the streets of the square mile in front of Gog and Magog, the legendary giants who are said to guard the City of London.

Army Cadets of the City of London Academy Islington (HAC) Combined Cadet Force are parading in this year’s Lady Mayor’s Show. The Contingent trains Army Cadets from three Trust schools. Led by COLAI, with partnerships from Highbury Grove and another recently started with Shoreditch Park. The Contingent was established in 2012 as the first new unit under the DfE and MoD Government led Cadet Expansion Programme (CEP) to generate more Cadet units in State schools. The Contingent will have around 50 cadets and staff on parade alongside the Honourable Artillery Company, our sponsor Regiment.
