Visit to the Imperial War Museum
Published: Mon 13 July 2026A group of Year 9s visited the Imperial War Museum as a reward for their excellent behaviour and attendance. The visit included interactive exhibitions featuring several of the topics they have studied in this year’s History curriculum including World War II, and The Holocaust. Students were able to understand the enormous scale of modern weaponry by being up close to tanks, artillery, and aircraft.
They were also able to learn about the human costs of war, and the sacrifices made by Britons and others who have lived through them. It was both a thought-provoking and enjoyable trip and helped prepare many of them for their GCSE History studies from September.
