On cloud 9: incredible number of top grades for City of London Academy Islington

- Record number of top grades, with a third of all GCSE qualifications awarded at grades 7 to 9
- Significant increase in GCSE attainment for all pupils
- Islington follows Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ with impressive rise in results
City of London Academy Islington secured back-to-back ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspections earlier this year and has cemented this success with a significant increase in GCSE attainment for all pupils, including a 10% rise in the number of top grades 7-9 achieved.
Congratulations to Elsa, a student at City of London Academy Islington, for achieving an outstanding set of GCSE results, with straight 9s across all her subjects.
