Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Annual Inspection
Published: Fri 12 June 2026Recently, the COLAI (HAC) Combined Cadet Force held its Annual Inspection, bringing together cadets from
City of London Academy, Highbury Grove and Shoreditch Park for an evening celebrating achievement,
teamwork and leadership.
The event began with a formal parade attended by families, staff and distinguished guests. The cadets were
inspected by the senior military reviewing officer, Lieutenant Colonel Wragg VR HAC, who praised both the
junior and senior cadets for their impressive dress, discipline and deportment. During conversations with
cadets, Lt Col Wragg also noted the enthusiasm many shared for shooting and fieldcraft activities.
Following the parade, parents and guests were invited into the sports hall to observe a range of core
training activities from the CCF syllabus. Cadets demonstrated their skills in first aid, fieldcraft, navigation,
expedition training and skill-at-arms, giving families an excellent opportunity to see the breadth of
experiences and personal development opportunities offered through the programme.
The evening concluded with a presentation ceremony recognising cadets’ hard work and commitment
throughout the year. Many cadets received badges marking their progression and several were promoted
to more senior ranks. Special congratulations go to our three newly appointed Sergeant Majors: CSM Ciba,
CSM Follett and CSM Moodie.
