Remote Learning

Whilst our students are not in school we will provide them with live lessons, according to their normal timetable. We will also provide remote learning resources and homework tasks, which can be accessed via Google Classroom.

All students:

• You should check Google Classroom every day for the links to your live lessons with your teachers as per your normal timetable.
• You must attend all live lessons; your teachers will take the register and parents/carers will be contacted if you are absent from a lesson.
• You must complete all work and homework set, if you have any questions you can message your teacher on Google Classroom.
• Please remember as a year group due to take exams this year, it is essential you attend live lessons and complete all work and homework set.

Please ensure you do the following every day:

• You should log onto Google Classroom every day to complete any work set and you should sumbit this work online via Google Classroom so that you can receive feedback on your progress.

Support with IT:

It is our expectation that all students complete all of the work set.  Should you experience any technical difficulties accessing Google Classroom then please can you or your parent/carer contact us at info@colai.org.uk and please address ‘For the attention of IT services’. If you do not have access to a computer please do contact us at info@colai.org.uk as we may be able to loan you a laptop or we can provide paper copies of the work that can be sent home or collected.

All instructions on how to access Google Classroom are also available on our website along with frequently asked questions, available support, and our updated safeguarding policy for online learning.  We also have an acceptable ICT user policy for students, which all students need to read before using Google Classroom. We expect our students to be respectful and appropriate in any communication they have online with staff or other students. 

Support completing the work:

If you are finding it difficult to access the work, then you can ask your teacher any questions through Google Classroom.
