At COLAI we aim to provide an exceptional level of care and education for every individual student. The Academy, which opened in September 2008, is a mixed, non-selective Academy, with no religious affiliation, committed to providing excellence in education and opportunities for all.

We are a rapidly improving Academy with dramatically improving outcomes for our students. Our 2012 percentage of students achieving 5A*-C grades is at nearly 70%, a record high for the Academy. Our aim in three years time is to be recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ Academy and these results are the first tangible step in that process.

At COLAI, we are totally committed to providing the absolute best for the young people of Islington. We firmly believe all students can succeed and we work to inspire a determination within the Academy for all to achieve the highest of expectations.

We aim to fully maximise student success by ensuring that all students are provided with rich, high quality educational opportunities, within our culture of high aspiration where achievement is recognised and celebrated. It is our determination to ensure that all students at the Academy progress, achieve and are provided with the right support and challenge to excel.
